Valentine’s Day: DIY Strawberry Sugar Scrub

Spread the love

Valentine’s Day is coming and no matter if you’re dating, single, or married there’s one thing you should definitely do this holiday and that is to do something for yourself. Self care and self love is so very important no matter the time of year. A great way to practice some self care this Valentine’s day is to use your own sugar scrub. Pamper yourself and relax. This DIY Strawberry sugar scrub is also a wonderful gift idea for friends or family. Try it out and let me see your creations. *affiliate links*

1 cup freeze dried strawberries

10 or so drops of lemon essential oils (or extract)

1 cup cane sugar

3/4 cup coconut oil

A glass jar

Crush the freeze dried strawberries.

This can be done in a number of different ways. You can put them in a zip lock back to crush or, like I did put them in a bowl and use a spoon or ladle.

Add the sugar and mix well.

It’s great to truly mix together well with a fork.

Melt the coconut oil in the microwave.

Put on for a very short time, somewhere around 20 to 30 seconds. It melts fast. Having it soft and melted makes it much easier to mix.

Add essential oil

(Feel free to change the recipe how you wish, other essential oils are wonderful).

Mix well and scoop into Jar.

Do you have a good skin care routine? I’ve spent way too much time I believe neglecting myself. I have the worst skin care routine. Please send me your thoughts. What’s your favorite product that’s apart of your skin care routine? I’d love to hear your thoughts and input.
