Gun Control: How Many Deaths Have to Happen?

On Valentine’s Day another mass shooting occurred. Why do these keep happening? I debated for a while on whether or not to write about gun control, but I could not just let it stand. There are so many arguments against gun control and so many arguments for it. I’d like to highlight some articles, videos, and […]

Why I Plan to Teach My Kids to Have Sex Before Marriage

As a parent sex can be a topic we avoid. It can be awkward, scary, and often times we just do not know what to say. I have a broad open stance on the topic of sex. It is by no means an opinion of the minority anymore, but I do think how open […]

As another holiday approaches I have been brainstorming more ways to teach my children about the holiday. Also, I’ve been working on reading more to my children. My daughter is two years old and so very active it can be hard to read through a book without her just running off. In an effort to […]

What is a family? This seems like it would be a very simple question, but as time has gone by over the last century I feel like the answer has become harder for each individual to answer. Why is it hard to answer? Because there is no one correct answer. Traditionally […]

How Do You Choose to Handle Bad Situations?

Recently I came across this quote and it really resonated with me. I have a few questions to ask you today. How do you handle stress? How do you handle the good times versus the bad times? Do you let bad or unexpected events stop you? I have this long-standing belief that we are defined, […]

Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas I’d Love

I admit, I’m hard to shop for and I’m not the easiest to buy for Valentine’s Day. I really never think that I am hard to shop for. If I was asked I could tell anyone a good three or four reasonable things I’d love, but I’ve still been told I’m hard to shop for. Why? Partially because if I truly NEED it, I’ll just go get it. Also because I’m a mom. I know this sounds like an excuse to anyone that isn’t a mom but it’s the truth. I’m a mom and because of that I put my kids first. If someone asks me what I’d like I tend to say things I’d like for the kids. However, there are many things I’d like they’re just not very tangible.

I am sure many men find Valentine’s Day tiresome. Why? Because for a lot of men, I won’t say most, I definitely won’t say all, but for a lot of men all the work for Valentine’s Day is on them, and often times they are totally forgotten.

Mom Dating: Peanut App Review

As a mom, it can be really hard to make friends. You want to find a friend who has a lot in common, this usually can mean another mom. Someone that understands your odd schedule. Someone that understands your days on end rants about screeching babies, potty training, diaper changes, and cartoon movies on repeat. […]

Finding a Mom-Friend: An Introverts Story So Far

I have been a mom now for two years and I have yet to make a mom-friend. I read article after article, blog post after blog post, and see so many videos, vlogs, etc about the importance of making a mom friend. It doesn’t take long after having your first child why this is such a prevalent topic.
